How to make slime!

As a fun experiment, use the following directions to make slime.

WARNING!  Only attempt the following directions under the supervision of  a responsible adult (like a science teacher!)  Be Careful and not get any of the ingredients in your hair, clothes, shoes, or floor.  Keep the slime in a safe place like a plastic bag or a container.  Keep away from children 9 and under.  Do not eat or put in mouth, avoid contact with eyes.

How to make regular slime

If you want to make regular slime you will need water, white school glue, borax , a medium and a small bowl, gloves, and if you want glitter, food coloring, and if you want it to be puffy shaving cream.

  1. The first thing you will need to do is have a clear area. Then you get your medium size bowl, put 1/2 cup of glue and ½ cup of water.
  2. Secondly, you get the small bowl and mix 1 tbsp of borax with 1 cup of water.  Then you stir until the borax has dissolved.
  3. Third, you add the glue mixture to the borax solution, stir it slowly.  When the Slime begins to set, start to kneading  it and to get it less sticky.
  4. Lastly this is optional but you add the food coloring and mix it with the slime, you could also add glitter to it, and if you want it to be puffy you add the shaving.  Now you are all done and you have your slime to play with.

How to make glow in the dark slime

If you want to make glow in the dark slime, you will need white glue, a bowl, borax, zinc sulfide or glow in the dark paint.

  1. First, add 1 tbsp of borax into a cup or bowl of warm water. Stir the mixture until it’s completely dissolved.
  2. Second, add several drops of zinc or the glow in the dark paint while your mixing everything.
  3. Third, make 50% of water and 50% of glue. Mix that together and then you take ¼ of a cup of each and mix.
  4. Fourth, knead it to get it less sticky and to finish it off.  
  5. Lastly, this is optional you don’t have to do this but you could add glitter, and if you want it to be a puffy kind of slime add shaving cream.
