STORY: The movie Wonder is based on the 2012 novel of the same name written by R. J. Palacio, it tells the story of August Pullman, a boy with facial differences who enters fifth grade, attending an elementary school for the first time.  He had been homeschooled by his mother.

It came to a time when his mother decided to send him to a real public school.  For Auggie, it was like starting a new adventure and soon realized how hard things can really get.  Auggie has an older sister who tries to help him solve his problems.  He has been through 27 surgeries and none of them have helped him looked ordinary.  He tries to prove you can’t blend in when you were born to stand out.

REVIEW: Although not for everyone, this movie was amazing.  It teaches a strong lesson in life and that is choose kind.  This means no matter what you do just choose kind, and you will make the world a better place.  Many people are born with facial differences and, for a moment, you might think it’s funny but really it’s not.  If you were being bullied you would feel the same way Auggie did in the movie.

The movie “Wonder” teaches students to be a buddy and not a bully; it influences them from preventing cyber bullying.  For Auggie, it took a while for students to get used to his face but for other students it did not so that’s when the whole bullying problem started.  Even for little kids, it’s good to watch because they will soon be in school and learn how hard it takes to accomplish something.

They won’t learn it that moment but like Auggie it will take time.  It can be hard at times but once you get used it it’s not that bad after all.  Don’t treat others the way you don’t want to be treated.  In other words treat others how you want to be treated.  We should accept everyone for who they are no matter how they look.

Overall, this movie was a great movie.  You should all go watch it especially with all the things going on in the world right now.
