Hi, My name is Leean, I'm in eighth grade and this is my first year joining the MacArthur Minute hopefully my best :).

I want to not only ask people what they think of dances, or the games, maybe skate night. But I want to write stories about what students think should change, what they think is right we shouldn't silence them because it is "not appropriate." Of course there will be boundaries when writing. But we want to show students that your voice truly matters. You don't wanna say something and not follow through.

My hobbies and interests are playing soccer, listening to music, and singing. I'm very shy when it comes to singing because I'm a little self-conscious of what people might say so I sing on my own time. Singing honestly calms me down and it's something I've always been passionate about ever since I was a little girl =). Music has always been something I hold close to my heart because I love drowning in the lyrics When they hit so close to home I won't even blink. Soccer has also been a passion of mine since I was 5 years old I've always been a sports girl and I'm very active. Honestly, soccer helps me take out all my anger, and it's like my therapy.
