The counseling staff at Segerstrom high school put together a high school orientation on March 13, 2017, which was 10 days prior to the March 22 high school visitation day for all eighth grade students. Although not for everyone, this movie was a new and improved version of the 90’s Mighty Morphing Power Rangers. The actors do a great job, especially Naomi Scott, who plays the Pink Ranger, and Dacre Montgomery, who plays the Red Ranger. Also, Elizabeth Banks puts in a solid performance as Rita Repulsa. Compared to the TV show, all the acting and performances were much improved.

Second Awards Assembly rewards and recognizes hundreds of students

On Thursday March 16, 2017 the second awards assembly was held in the quad after second period. Tristan spent about three days planning this event. The office aides and some teachers helped out to count pencils and to separate awards in piles so they can be given to first period teachers including the Honor Roll, Principal's List, and VIP.

Eighth graders put President Andrew Jackson on Trial

All eighth graders who are enrolled in Chee’s honors classes are participating in a trial to get an in depth look and help determine whether Andrew Jackson was guilty or not in the Trail of Tears. The students evaluate the president through research and facts. The trial will last 2-3 weeks, depending on how each class progresses individually.
